Helvio Kanamaru is the Head of Corporate Citizenship for Samsung in Latin America, based in São Paulo, Brazil.
He is responsible for the regional coordination of social programs focused on Education and their implementation in Brazil. A great example is Solve for Tomorrow program, which invites high school students to use STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) to elaborate projects that improve the environment of their communities. This initiative is supported by UNESCO Regional Office of Education, REDUCA and OEI (Ibero-American States Organization).
Helvio got a Master’s degree in Business Administration by Fundação Getúlio Vargas (FGV) and holds a bachelor degree in Architecture and Urban Planning by São Paulo University (USP).
