Maria Herczog

Dr. Maria Herczog is the chair and director of professionals programs and research of Family, Child, Youth Association in Budapest and is a visiting lecturer at the ELTE Budapest University Doctoral School as well as the Law Faculty post graduate courses. She was elected as a member to the UN CRC Committee in 2007 and re-elected in 2010, and was elected as a rapporteur of the Committee in 2013. Maria conducts research on child welfare, child protection and on child rights, family matters and has authored several books, book chapters, and journal articles as well as spoken at different national and international conferences on the subject in the last 30 years.
